So what kind of fish are available in the Great Smoky Mountains? Thanks to a successful brook trout restoration project these fish are now present in the streams in the Great Smoky Mountains. Rainbow and brown trout are also present for the enjoyment of the angler. All trout caught have to be at least 7 inches long to be kept. Smallmouth bass are also within the streams for the angler to pursue, these fish must also be 7 inches or longer to be kept. This ensures the health of the Great Smoky Mountain fisheries. Rockbass are also in the waters of the Great Smoky Mountains, and there are no limit on these fish. Kids and adults alike can have hours of fun catching these fish, great eating too.
